Requirements:
The candidate to apply for the position of Surface Mount Inspector must have a good level of English to read and write documentation and work instructions; be a US citizen or have a green card (ITAR Client).
More than 3 years of experience in the SMT assembly field is preferred, or have been an inspector (any department) for at least 1 year.
IPC-A-610 is required; experience with an AOI machine is helpful.
Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with circuit board assembly and surface-mounted components and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for both first article and in-process inspection of assigned SMT assemblies in real-time work environments. Perform rework and minor repairs of complex SMT assemblies, in addition to conducting basic circuit board repairs.
Identify and communicate defects to operators in real-time and, after adjustments are made, monitor quality to verify that corrections are effective. Perform AOI machine inspections as necessary.
Execute commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with circuit board and SMT repair and rework, including but not limited to removal and replacement of complex SMT components, cutting and etching jumpers, circuit repair and replacement, etc.
Complete production-related documentation independently. May also be assigned temporary duties or other departments by the SMT Supervisor or assignee as required. Perform additional tasks outlined by Management to promote an environment focused on continuous improvement and teamwork.
