Requirements:
The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all equipment in the department, so our candidate is required to have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
No previous experience required – but it is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to read/write in English is preferred.
Requires a strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
Repair all equipment-related problems within ability and advise supervisor of any problems not repairable by mechanic; Stops or resets machines when malfunctions occur and clears machine jams.
Monitors all equipment for wear, misuse, or damage, and reports findings to their supervisor; Verifies production paperwork against production orders and completes necessary paperwork to ensure product specification.
Affixes pre-printed labels onto boxes and loads empty boxes in sequential order onto conveyor belt or under machine (applicable to some departments); Scans labels on boxes of finished product and moves boxes from conveyor belt or from machine to designated location (applicable to some departments).
Maintains a clean and tidy work area; Performs other duties as assigned or instructed.
