Requirements:

The machine operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of an assigned machine or section of machines, as well as the quality of production. Therefore, a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical school and/or adequate job training is preferred.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

The ability to read and write in English is required.


Responsibilities:

Loads component parts into the assembly machine according to the part numbers indicated on the production order and verifies that the parts used match the parts requested in the production specifications.

Verifies work in progress for defects and maintains quality standards according to standard operating procedures.

Completes the necessary paperwork, makes minor adjustments to the machinery, and refers major problems to the mechanic or supervisor.

May receive or provide training on mechanical tasks, follow maintenance procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and perform other duties as assigned.
