Requirements:
For the Setup Person position, our candidate is required to possess the ability and knowledge to plan and execute non-progressive, single- or multi-cavity, single-stage setups of compression, preform, and die-cutting molding machines required for the formation, manufacturing, and lamination of rubber and silicone diaphragms.
Must have knowledge of English.
Responsibilities:
Perform necessary compression molding, perform machine, and trim press setups. Make necessary machine/tool adjustments to ensure compliance with part specifications. Adjust/install safety devices.
Periodically check machines to determine if they are safe for operation at the beginning of each shift or as directed by management. Also, apply grease/oil as necessary to ensure proper operation of preform presses, molds, and moldings.
Select sets of dies/molds according to the job, place and align them on the platen and ram. Screw, clamp, or secure die/mold members in place. Set speeds, releases, pressures, strokes, stops, temperatures, dwell times, and adjust disabling devices, switches, and detectors.
Clean a variety of tools, dies, molds, templates, and accessories. Make minor repairs to die sets. Replace or change date codes, pins, bushings, and guides. Polish/repair scratches and nicks. Work under the direction of Engineers in tool repair and new tools. Responsible for storing dies/molds and maintaining related records. Perform similar or other duties as required.
