Requirements:
The Jr. Die Cutting Operator must maintain quality throughout the entire work process, achieving excellent performance consistently during runs and supporting the lead die cutter during setup, therefore it is required that our candidate possess a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of a die-cutting machine.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Good problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. Must be detail-oriented. Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks. Able to lift and carry > 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to understand and follow all work procedures and safety protocols (APBo).
Responsibilities:
Operate the Bobst die-cutting machine (or other similar equipment), the Eagle foil stamping machine, and the Bobst stamping machines. Monitor the feeder's work. Perform line cleaning between each job processed on the die-cutters and stamping machines. Responsible for the machine speed and the efficient use of the equipment. Inspect the quality of the finished product before its passage to the finishing stage.
Read, understand, and follow the work instructions on the jacket and the scheduling reports. Perform frequent quality checks and approvals according to policy. Work to improve the process. Helps maintain the work area clean and organized. Overtime work will be required with short and long-term notice. Contribute to teamwork by voluntarily accepting other tasks that are requested.
Must learn and comply with all APBo. safety regulations, use the appropriate safety equipment at all times, immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors, be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery, or materials 1 involved in the job tasks; and must consult with the supervisor if there is any doubt about the safe procedure to be used for any function of the job.
